Ed Fanning, Brother Of Mick, Passes Away
This morning, news has broken that Edward Fanning, older brother to Mick, has passed away.
Ed had been working in Madagascar at a surf camp over the previous six months.

The news was received via social media, with Ed's good friend Steve Maher confirming Ed had passed away.
“Firstly I want to send my condolences to the Fanning family … mum Liz, dad John, sister Rachel and brother Mick,” Maher wrote.
“My heart is broken to hear the passing of my best mate. I enjoyed and had so many amazing times with you Eddie.
“You were in my wedding party, had so many epic times together in Indo and we were just best mates.
“I’m goin’ to miss you Eddie and now you rest in peace.”
Of the four Fanning brothers only Mick is left. In 1998, 20-year old Sean died in a car accident, then oldest brother Peter died in his sleep in 2015. Mick also has an older sister, Rachel.

Devastating! Only met him briefly in indo but could tell he was a larrikin with a big heart. Surfed like an albino spider monkey like his brother. Even called me into a set wave I was waaaay too deep for but had to go anyway. RIP

Such shocking news! That is so fucked up! Feel sorry for Mick and his Ma, who seems to be such a lovely lady. May he rest in peace. May all concerned heal on their terms and in their own time.
