for the period until midnight EST Friday 25 May 2012.
Weather Situation
High pressure systems over Western Australia and north of New Zealand currently
extend a ridge south of Tasmania while a low pressure system is developing over
Victoria. This low is expected to extend a trough over northeastern Tasmania
tomorrow, with a second low to form just east of the state, becoming dominant
Friday night. This low will then continue to intensify while moving away on
Saturday as a cold front approaches from the southwest, expected to cross on
Sunday as a high moves over the Bight.
