Already Indo

The Indo season is still months away from swinging into action. The only surfers currently swinging through the islands are budget travellers taking advantage of off-season deals and northern hemisphere climate refugees. Oh, and John Barton too.

John Barton is a photographer who originally hails from Western Australia but now spends much of the year in the Mentawai Islands. Based out of the Pitstop Hill Resort John shoots the best sessions of the Indo season.

Time to cast your eyes north, think of warmer climes, while yearning for the best that Indonesia has to offer: Bintangs and Gudangs. Suck 'em up, knock 'em down. Nick McMurray and mates managed to squeeze in the odd session between the durries and beer.
