Friday 24th May
Tricky forecast due to a complex ECL off the NSW coast. Most likely scenario is tiny 0.5-1ft waves at most beaches for much of the day, with freshening SW winds tending gusty S'ly around dinnertime. A new S/SE swell is expected to fill in to the GC late a'noon (prob o'night on the SC) so keep an eye out for some sneaky 2ft+ sets in the few hours before dark (reaching 3-5ft at south facing beaches).
Saturday 25th May
Strong S/SE swell with a wide range in size across the region. 2-3ft surf across most SC beaches, reaching 3-4ft at most GC beaches, and up to 5-6ft+ at exposed south swell magnets. Gusty S'ly winds, lighter and more SW early morning.
Sunday 26th May
Easing S/SE swell, with a wide range in size across the region. 2ft+ surf across most SC beaches, reaching 3ft+ at most GC beaches, and 4-5ft at exposed south swell magnets. Size easing during the day. Fresh S'ly winds, lighter and more SW early morning.
Monday 27th May
Easing S/SE swell to 1-2ft across most GC and SC beaches, with occasional 3ft+ sets at exposed south facing beaches early. Size easing during the day. Light to moderate SW winds.
Tuesday 28th May
Inconsistent S'ly swell around 1ft across most GC and SC beaches, reaching 2-3ft exposed south facing beaches. Light to moderate SW winds. Chance for a late pulse in small new S'ly swell at swell magnets.
Weekend Outlook
Looking good for the points at this stage. It'll be windy but there should be plenty of waves.
