S/SE swell easing from 3ft+ to 2-3ft at south facing beaches (with larger sets in the Hunter). Remaining open beaches holding 2ft, with smaller waves inside protected southern corners. Light to moderate W/SW winds.

Wednesday 22nd May

Easing SE swell around 2ft at south facing beaches, with 1-2ft waves at remaining locations. Difficult wind forecast as a low develops off the coast. Likely to be freshening NW tending N'ly, possibly variable later.

Thursday 23rd May

Building SE swell to 5-6ft+ at open beaches, but windy with fresh to strong SE winds.
