Central QLD: Fun surf continues into Easter, easing back later Sun

Fun surf continues over Easter.

Fun way to start Good Friday

High pressure in the Tasman is maintaining a ridge along the QLD coast with fun sized surf across the CQ region under mod/fresh SE winds.

We should see that pattern hold over the Easter weekend with an easing trend in play from later Sun into Mon and surf becoming tiny through later Mon into Tues.

We may see some just-rideable surf through Tues-Thurs under a weak, disjointed E’ly flow in the Coral Sea but keep expectations pegged low.

Further ahead  and a low forming in the Northern Tasman is expected to drift southwards so we’ll be relying on weak winds in the Coral Sea to hold just rideable surf into next weekend.
Check back Mon for the latest and have a great Easter weekend!
