Tiny 0.5-1ft waves during the morning ahead of a possible late pulse of new short-range S'ly swell to 1ft. Light to moderate W/NW winds, freshening during the a'noon.

Monday 2nd August

Tiny 1ft waves across south facing beaches early ahead of a rapid and solid increase in short-range S'ly swell during the a'noon to 3-4ft+ by dark. Smaller elsewhere. Fresh and gusty W/SW winds, tending S/SW during the a'noon and becoming strong.

Tuesday 3rd August

Peak in short-range S'ly swell around 6ft across south facing beaches in Sydney, larger across the Hunter and smaller on the South Coast, easing later. Moderate to fresh W/SW winds, easing during the day and possibly tending variable.
