Strong winds and storms raged all night long and its still pretty hectic out there this morning. A huge southerly swell has come up overnight in a big hurry. Open beaches are out of control with winds too strong and some full tilt currents, but the heavily protected southern corners are fairing okay because of the extreme south direction of the swell and the fact there is still a west element to the strong winds. Its not that pretty or comfortable but scope out the southern corners if you a keen for a wave today.
Weekend Outlook
Large windy S/SE swell on Saturday. Should be plenty of waves at protected spots. Better winds and an easing swell on Sunday.
Best Days
Sat: windy points. Sun: smaller points but much cleaner. Mon/Tues/Wed/Thurs: looking good at many locations with a new S/SE swell.
