5 Day Swell Graph

Best Days

Sat: windy points. Sun: smaller points but much cleaner. Mon/Tues/Wed/Thurs: looking good at many locations with a new S/SE swell.

Saturday 25th May

Large windy waves at exposed beaches peaking around 6-8ft+. Smaller 4-6ft waves at most open beaches and points (smaller inside sheltered southern corners). Wave heights are likely to be a couple of feet smaller in the lower Mid North. Fresh and gusty S'ly winds in general, possibly SW for a period early morning.

Sunday 26th May

Easing S/SE swell from 5-6ft to 4-5ft at exposed south facing beaches, with 3-5ft surf easing to 2-3ft at remaining open beaches. Moderate SW winds tending S'ly during the day (stronger in the Far North). A small new long period south swell may arrive late in the day in the lower Mid North with sets to 3ft.

Monday 27th May

Inconsistent S'ly swell around 3ft+ at exposed south facing beaches, with 1-2ft waves at remaining open beaches. May be a little bigger in the Far North. Light to moderate SW tending SE winds.

Tuesday 28th May

Slowly building S/SE swell, but with a wide range in wave heights across the coast. Exposed south facing beaches building to 3-5ft, with 2-3ft surf at remaining open beaches (expect a delay on this size peak in the Far North). Light to moderate SW tending SE winds.

Wednesday 29th May

Strong but inconsistent S/SE swell maintaining 3-5ft surf across south facing beaches, with 2-3ft surf at remaining open beaches. Small building E'ly trade swell in the Far North (but probably smaller than the S/SE swell). Light to moderate SW tending E'ly winds.

Weekend Outlook

Large windy S/SE swell on Saturday. Should be plenty of waves at protected spots. Better winds and an easing swell on Sunday.
