Ol' Jodhi Meares has made all the right moves.
From swimwear model to the doyen of female beach fashion. Along the way she dropped an 'e', picked up an 'h', kissed a frog who stayed a frog, then sent the frog packing. She also started her own label, Tigerlilly, and hocked it to Billabong for the right price.
But before the name changes and trophy wife status she was a bikini model that featured in the odd surf magazine. In the first two shots, taken in 1987, she was just fifteen years old, which Hetty Johnston may have frowned upon but the grommets of the day saw no such problem.
By the 90's, when she was in her early 20's and in the full bosom of young womanhood, she nailed down a regular gig with Waves Magazine and appeared in all their swimwear issues, much to the delight of the readership.
In the late-90's, however, James Packer came along and spoiled the beach party. The browbeaten son of Big Kerry advised her to slip out of her duds and into something more respectable, and it was also the last time she appeared in a surfing magazine.
