From his first round performance, where he pulled a huge slob air over the Rincon reef, till the finals where he wailed on the eight foot walls, Parko was the form surfer of the Rip Curl Pro. No-one who watched his early heats will be surprised by the result and no-one who saw his delight upon winning can begrudge him ringing the famous bell. He was the deserving victor of an epic competition.
