Riley Laing is a 14-year-old grom from the NSW Central Coast who recently made headlines as the youngest surfer to tackle Shipsterns Bluff. As an emerging talent Riley's gonna cop a whole lot of headlines playing on his name: "Living the life of Riley" etc.

Thing is, it's bloody hard to avoid the cliche in this instance. Check it: A young grub at the beginning of a six week summer holiday bursting through a crisp beachbreak session not far from home.
