It's always a hit-and-miss time of the year for Queensland surfers. As the winter westerlies start to fade towards the southern latitudes, a lack of swell and a persistent northerly airstream significantly reduces the number of quality surfable days along the Gold and Sunshine Coasts. But, there's always a temporary Spring break and this year it came a little earlier for Ryan Williams, who scored these magical beachbreak barrels with Brent Dorrington and a handful of others last week. //BEN MATSON
