 The
nation's best bodyboarders will compete against each other at Dreamworld's Flowrider
on February 15th as the 2007 Human Pro Tour gets underway.
The
Hydro/Bodyboarders Surf Co Flowrider Fiesta will be the first time that Dreamworld
and Bodyboarding Australasia has held such an event. It is
expected to be a action packed night with live music from Marty Simpson &
Benjalu, computerized scoring with the ASP's Beach Byte system and plenty of spectators. Big
name riders such as Ryan Hardy, Damien King, Mitch Rawlins, Andrew Lester, Lilly
Pollard, Lauren Knowles, Emma Cobb and Kira Llewellyn take on flowrider locals,
"the Pool Rats" that have the tricky artificial wave mastered. The
flowrider wave is very different to a real wave, so it will be interesting to
see the results. The winners will receive a stack of cash as well as valuable
points towards the 2007 Human Pro Tour championships. The Flowrider
Fiesta will be the first event of the 2007 Human Pro Tour, followed by the 5 Star
Harbourtown Digital Mobile Pro at Broadbeach the very next day. The
tour then continues through NZ, NSW, TAS, VIC, WA & SA, consisting of ten
